PROGRAM

Day 1
By 15.00 - Registration for the cruise and free program in Ushuaia.
Embarkation and departure aboard the STELA AUSTRALIS. The cruise begins with a welcome cocktail led by the captain as the ship navigates through some of the most remote parts of the planet - the Strait of Magellan and the Beagle Channel.

Day 2
Cruise program - Murray Strait, Nassau Gulf and Cape Horn, also called the "End of the World". The area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before lunch, moor at Cape Horn (weather permitting) and walk around the iconic island. Afternoon - mooring in Lulaya Bay, where Charles Darwin first set foot in 1833, and a walk in the area.

Day 3
Cruise program in Patagonia - sailing through the Pia Fjord and expedition with zodiac boats to the Pia Glacier. Afternoon - mooring at Garibaldi Glacier and walk through the beautiful scenery in the area, from where beautiful views of the glacier, surrounding mountains and waterfalls and local fauna can be seen.

Day 4
Patagonia cruise programme - pass through the Breconnock, Occasion, Cockburn and Magdalena canals to reach the Agostini Sound, in the heart of the Darwin mountain range, where you can watch glaciers descend from the mountains directly to the sea surface. In the afternoon, an expedition by zodiac boats to the Aguila Glacier and a walk through the cold rainforest typical of Patagonia.

Day 5
Patagonia cruise program - sailing through the Strait of Magellan. Early morning visit to Magdalena Island, home to a colony of over 120,000 penguins. The island was a starting point and provisioning point for the sailors exploring the area. Dock and walk around the island and observe the penguins.
Arrival in Punta Arenas at 11.30 am and departure from the ship.
