Ice safari in Lapland

We offer several "once in a lifetime" experiences of the Arctic Circle at the same time:
* to sail among the ice aboard an active icebreaker;
* wear a special suit and dive into the ice water;
* go kart racing on a snowy and icy track;
* spend a night as an Eskimo in a snowy igloo while enjoying all the comforts of civilization.

During the excursion travels an experienced guide who knows the route well and with us everything described in the program is included in the package price.

PROGRAM

Day 1 - TOURIST TO HELZINKI
Flight Sofia - Helsinki.
Tourist tour of Хелзинки.
The Senate Square, the Lutheran Cathedral, the waterfront street with shopping streets, the main street Mannerheiminti, where the Parliament, the National Museum, the Opera House, the Finlandia Concert Hall, the Olympic Stadium, the Tempeliaukio Church, the Sibelius Park are located.
Flight Helsinki - Rovaniemi.
Transfer by bus to the hotel in Rovaniemi.

Day 2 - CARTING ON SNOWED TRAIL, SAFARI WITH DEER, THE VILLAGE OF SANTA, SANTA PARK
Breakfast
9:30 - 11:30 Transfer to a snow and ice kart track. Free practice, Qualification for place and actual race.
11:30 - 16:30 Transfer by bus to a deer farm. Short break in a traditional Lapland tipi tent. Reindeer-drawn sleigh ride to Santa's Village. Ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle. Lunch at the restaurant in Santa's village. Meeting Santa in his room and sending postcards with a special stamp of the Arctic Circle from his main post office. A tour of the workshops and gift shops in the village. Obtaining a reindeer herding permit and a certificate for crossing the Arctic Circle. Transfer by bus to Santa Park(about 1.5 km). On the territory of the park there are several souvenir shops, Santa's workshop, bakery, post office, cafe, ice sculpture gallery. Visit the elf school and receive a certificate of completion. Possibility to take a train ride around the park.
Return by bus to Rovaniemi. Free time. Overnight.

Day 3 - THE NORTHERNEST ZOOLOGICAL GARDEN IN THE WORLD, EVENING SNOWBOARD TOUR, NORTHERN SHINE
Breakfast.
09:00 - 14:00 Transfer to Ranua Wildlife Park. Visit the northernmost wildlife zoo in the world. Spot polar bears and other animals in their natural habitat. More than 200 animals of over 50 species can be seen here. Transfer to Rovaniemi. 18:00 - 21:00 Transfer to the surroundings of Rovaniemi and hike with snowshoes (special equipment for walking on snow that prevents sinking in the snow). Rest around the campfire. If the weather is clear, possibility to observe the northern lights. Overnight

Day 4 - Ice Breaker Cruise and overnight at the Ice Hotel
Breakfast.
Transfer to the border of Finland and Sweden and board an icebreaker.
A cruise aboard an icebreaker - across the icy ocean to the Gulf of Bothnia, frozen in massive ice. Visitors have the opportunity to step onto the ice and plunge into the icy waters wearing special rubber suits, as well as enter the engine room of the nearly four hundred tonne vessel.
The icebreaker is a former work ship that broke the ice in ports in Sweden and Finland after which it was adapted for tourism.
After the cruise, transfer to a local restaurant for lunch.

Day 5 - CROSSING WITH MOTOR VEHICLES, SAFARI WITH HUSKS AND FISHING IN THE ICE, OVERNIGHT AT THE ICE HOTEL
Breakfast. Snowmobile tour (land vehicle designed to travel on snow and ice). Crossing icy lakes and snow drifts. Visit to a husky farm. Meeting with the owner of the farm who gives visitors detailed information about the life and characteristics of huskies. Safari with sledges pulled by a team of huskies. One passenger sits in the sledge, the other stands up and drives the sledge. After half an hour the passengers change places. Lunch in a traditional tipi tent around a campfire. Fishing in a hole in the ice with the possibility of preparing your own catch. 
Transfer to Ice hotelmade of 1.5 million kg of snow and 300 000 kg of ice. On an area of 20 000 sq. m. there are an ice hotel, an ice bar, an ice restaurant and numerous snow galleries with ice sculptures.
Dinner in the ice restaurant.
Indoor temperatures are between -5 and -2 °C no matter what the temperature is outside due to the good insulating properties of snow.
Tour the ice complex, receive overnight instructions, sleeping bags, overnight igloo diploma.
Overnight in Ice hotel.

Day 6
Free day in Rovaniemi.
Transfer to the airport for your flight Kemi - Helsinki. 
Arrival in Helsinki. Transfer and check in at the hotel.

Day 7
Breakfast. Free time to explore Helsinki. 
Transfer to the airport for your flight Helsinki - Sofia. 
Flight Helsinki - Sofia.
